Who we are
The friends of Jubilee Green was formed on a sunny Wednesday 3rd
June 2009. We are an independent volunteer group that has lots of
ideas, energy and enthusiasm on the use and development of the Park
and the Jubilee Green.
On the 4th August 2010 we became a charity, number 1137254. Due
to the large sums of money we need to raise to complete our
projects we felt that becoming a charity would ensure
accountability for our actions and our finances. Every year
we have to submit a Trustees
Report, our accounts and an
auditors report.
We have a clear structure of 5 trustees, 3 of which hold the
positions of Chair, Sectary and Treasurer. The activities of
the charity are then divided into the following sub committees-
each one being chaired by a trustee. The Sub Committees are;
Environment, Young People, Adult and Events. Members are
invited to join the sub-committees that interest them the most.
We are a constituted charity and we also adhere to a set of rules on how we operate and have
an environmental and
child
protection policy. We have adopted the Charity
Commissions model constitution.
